Ashoka's 4 Main Goals

Ashoka's main goals were respected by those who followed the Buddhist path which included being respectful, moral, and kind to one another. This mean knowing what is right and wrong behavior. He told the people to treat their servants well, and to respect their elders a well as being tolerant to those who practice different religions. To spread those values to his people, he had edicts carved into the walls, rocks, and tall pillars throughout the empire, in the places where the greatest number of people could see them.
