Ashoka's Importance

  Ashoka's family united many kingdoms which helped them with war. Then Ashoka gave up war and violence for peace. In the end, he was successful and began the spread of Buddhism beyond India. He established rule and edicts, which were Buddhist values, general warfare, security, and justice to all of India.
